Establishment of “Happiness Realization Party Liaison Committee for Considering LGBT Issues from a Religious Perspective”

In order to review the excessive expansion of LGBT rights, the Happiness Realization Party established the “Happiness Realization Party Liaison Committee for Considering LGBT Issues from a Religious Perspective” (Representative: Yoko NOHARA, Miyashiro Town Council Member, Saitama Prefecture) on June 25th.

Currently, there is an accelerating trend to deepen understanding of sexual minorities known as LGBT. Discrimination against LGBT people is not acceptable. At the same time, however, excessive expansion of LGBT rights could threaten the great majority of women’s peace of mind, such as biological men invading women’s spaces. Also, it could destroy the traditional view of family that is the foundation of the nation.

Internationally, LGBT issue is a topic of a religious debate. In Japan too, it is necessary to consider the issue from the religious perspective, which teaches values, instead of allowing the rights expand without examining it properly or responding emotionally. Why did God and Buddha create men and women separately? Why are there people called LGBT from before? What is the meaning of family bonds? There are limits to provide answers to these questions through a political approach alone.

From both religious and political perspectives, the Happiness Realization Party Liaison for Considering LGBT Issues from a Religious Perspective will consider, in order to make each person’s life training more fruitful and create a society which can realize happiness and prosperity of many people.
